Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Fertilizer Operations Supervisor on a permanent basis for the Ag Solutions team. The role is on-site at the Fertilizer Terminal in Hanley, SK, with relocation options for the right candidate.

You will drive daily terminal performance, lead a team of operations staff, champion safety, and ensure timely fertilizer movement across the network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years operating equipment in a production or manufacturing facility.
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Fertilizer and/or Ag experience required.
• Proficient using computer programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, including fertilizer blending, storage, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Lead and support terminal employees through training, operational guidance, process improvements, and coverage coordination.
• Foster employee development, and performance management; participate in recruitment.
• Manage terminal third-party contractors, ensuring safety compliance and safe work procedures.
• Maintain, inspect, and support terminal equipment through planned maintenance and repairs to maximize reliability.
• Assist with product audits and weigh-overs while maintaining cleanliness and quality.
• Identify and address operational deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and conduct safety meetings.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Fertilizer Operations Supervisor on a permanent basis on our Ag Solutions team.

This position requires on-site work and is based at our Fertilizer Terminal in Hanley, SK. Not currently living near Hanley? Relocation options may be available for the right candidate.

Make an impact where operations and leadership meet. As Fertilizer Operations Supervisor, you'll drive daily terminal performance, develop employees, champion safety, and help keep fertilizer moving efficiently to customers across the network.

What you'll do:

• Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, including fertilizer blending, storage, maintenance, and housekeeping, all while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance.
• Lead and support terminal employees through training, operational guidance, process improvements, and coverage coordination to maximize productivity and service standards.
• Foster employee development, and performance management; participate in recruitment.
• Manage terminal third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and FCL safe work procedures.
• Maintain, inspect, and support terminal equipment through planned preventative maintenance, and emergency repair activities, to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Assist with product audits and weigh-overs while maintaining facility cleanliness and quality standards to ensure contamination-free product shipments.
• Identify and address operational deficiencies, obtain contractor quotes, and help drive corrective actions that enhance terminal performance and reliability.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and safe work procedures for employees and contractors, while leading safety meetings and hazard awareness initiatives.
• Employee development and management including recruitment, performance reviews and disciplinary action.
• Approximate travel requirement of 10% annually for training and coverage.

The Team: You will work closely with a team of Operations staff, and will report into the Manager, Fertilizer Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture of efficiency and collaboration.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

• Have a minimum 6 years experience operating equipment in a production or manufacturing facility; experience operating front-end loaders, and track mobiles would be an asset.
• Have a minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Fertilizer and/or Ag experience required.
• Are proficient using computers programs such as excel, word, outlook.
