Transport Canada is looking for a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician at its airport in Churchill, Manitoba. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs, and overhaul various equipment, vehicles, and diesel-powered generating plants. Reliability Status security clearance
Health Canada approved pre-employment and periodic health assessments.
Possession and maintenance of a valid and unrestricted license issued by the Province of Manitoba for Class 3 vehicles (minimum) with air brake endorsement.
Willingness and ability to wear CSA approved safety footwear and other personal protective equipment.
Willingness and ability to safely perform a variety of physically demanding and repetitive tasks (including lifting up to 75 lbs.).
Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends, statutory holidays, provincial/territorial holidays, and call-back or standby.
Willingness and ability to travel and work in a variety of weather conditions.
