Intermodal Heavy Duty Mechanics perform major and minor repairs, overhauls and servicing on all types of vehicles, vehicle attachments and material handling equipment. This position requires you to work night shifts and partial weekends, as required.
Intermodal Heavy Duty Mechanics wage:
10,000$ signing bonus.
Successful candidates will receive paid on-the-job training on new products and updates as required by the company, both theoretical and practical instructions. Depending on your level of experience, candidates must have completed 2nd year and registered with trade branch for 3rd year and will attend a series of courses at your work location in Canada or away from your work area for training purposes. Training will include intermodal equipment components, control systems, air brakes, start up, basic diesel electric systems and CN maintenance regulations. Truck motors, data recorders, as well as fuel, oil, water and air systems will also be covered. Successful completion of this program is essential for performance of future duties.
