Job summary

Freson Bros. is hiring a Full-Time Meat Department Manager at our Stony Plain Alberta location to oversee inventory, scheduling, and customer service excellence.

Lead a dedicated team, manage weekly orders and quarterly counts, and drive promotional displays while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership, financial awareness, and excellent communication to grow sales, develop staff, and deliver a positive guest experience in a fast-paced rural store

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of progressive butcher shop or restaurant management experience.
• History of meeting financial objectives and targets in a butcher shop or restaurant environment.
• Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for leading and developing others.
• Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts.
• Merchandise products within refrigeration shelving and coffin case freezers for promotional and seasonal displays.
• Schedule Meat Department Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met.
• Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed.
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team.
• Train, develop, and motivate Meat Department Team Members.
• Resolve customer and Meat Department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
• Champion the Freson Bros. brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth.
• Providing an exceptional customer experience.
