Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 months of retail store experience; meat experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Full knowledge of total store and department operations.
  • Experience reading and analyzing financial reports; experience developing and adhering to budgets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Above average communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 12 months of meat cutting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the meat department staff; coach, mentor, and motivate.
  • Maintain department budgets and labor costs; monitor inventory and orders.
  • Ensure product presentation, merchandising, and stock levels meet company standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to customer needs.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with store leadership on promotions and pricing.
  • Monitor equipment and department maintenance; participate in training.
