Job summary

Raise is seeking an experienced Measurement Technician Electrician to support maintenance and operations across Fort St. John, BC. This full-time, temporary role helps keep meter buildings and station facilities safe, reliable, and efficient while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

You will complete training, perform maintenance, work with teams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment under the Unifor 4960 collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician certification and industry experience.
• Must meet pre-employment screening requirements.
• 3–5 years of related industry experience and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Operator Qualifications Training Program for each meter building in the region.
• Safely operate and maintain meter buildings and station facilities for reliability and compliance.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on facility equipment across the region.
• Execute activities in line with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Complete safety, maintenance, and operations training programs.
• Develop and update operating and maintenance procedures as needed.
• Support safety, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to meet objectives.
• Adhere to company, regulatory, and environmental policies.

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Are you an experienced Measurement Technician Electrician looking for your next opportunity? Join our team in a dynamic maintenance and operations role where you'll be a key part of keeping meter buildings and station facilities safe, reliable, and efficient across the region. Based in Fort St. John, BC, this position supports the ongoing integrity and performance of essential infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the Operator Qualifications Training Program for each meter building within your assigned region.
• Safely operate and maintain meter buildings and station facilities to ensure reliability, compliance, and operational performance.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance activities on facility equipment throughout the region.
• Execute operational activities in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Complete all required safety, maintenance, and operations training programs.
• Develop, review, and update operating and maintenance procedures as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Adhere to all company, regulatory, and environmental policies and standards.
• Be available to work all shifts covered under the Unifor 4960 collective agreement.

Qualifications:

Required

• Journeyperson Electrician certification.
• Proven measurement experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include a 5-year driver's abstract, criminal record check, and drug and alcohol testing (external candidates only).
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related industry experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred

• Dual trade certification as a Journeyperson Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, and/or Millwright is considered a strong asset.
• Experience working with pneumatic control systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and accountability.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.

Working Conditions:

• Field-based maintenance and operations environment.
• Travel within the assigned region may be required.
• Work schedules and shift assignments will be in accordance with the Unifor 4960 collective agreement.
• Position requires strict adherence to safety standards, procedures, and operational requirements.
