Job summary

Extendicare Kapuskasing is seeking a leadership-focused professional to guide MDS/RAI timelines and educate staff on data collection and reporting guidelines that support the Home’s funding. This role is based at the Kapuskasing, Ontario location and is central to ensuring high-quality resident care.

You will lead MDS-related initiatives, collaborate with clinical teams, and keep current on RAI trends to drive program improvement and effective reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in Long Term Care
• Experience with MDS is an asset
• Knowledge of InterRAI suite of tools, MDS/RUG III systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the completion of MDS assessment on all residents within established timelines.
• Understands how the MDS assessment integrates with existing clinical tools and provides leadership in streamlining these processes.
• Participates in strategic planning for program development/improvement while keeping current on RAI trends.
• Interprets reports generated by Health Zone/AH&W or CIHI and provides critical analysis for Home.
