Job summary

Extendicare Kapuskasing Home seeks a skilled leader to drive MDS timelines, coach staff on data collection, and ensure reporting meets funding guidelines. You will guide a team to optimize clinical workflows and support quality care across the home in Kapuskasing, Ontario.

This position is for our Extendicare Kapuskasing Home, located in Kapuskasing, Ontario.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coordinates the completion of MDS assessment on all residents within established timelines.
  • Understands how the MDS assessment integrates with existing clinical tools and provides leadership in streamlining these processes.
  • Participates in strategic planning for program development/improvement while keeping current on RAI trends.
  • Interprets reports generated by Health Zone/AH&W or CIHI and provides critical analysis for Home.
What you bring
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Long Term Care, experience with MDS an asset
  • Knowledge of: InterRAI suite of tools, MDS/RUG III patient classification systems.
