Job summary

The Tutoring Expert is seeking reliable K-12 tutors for in-home sessions across Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan and Scarborough. Part-time role, with evenings and weekends available; travel to student homes or centres is required.

Ideal candidates are university students, graduates, post-graduates, certified teachers, or student teachers, with strong communication and teaching skills and a willingness to obtain a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be/have university students, graduates, post-graduates, certified teachers, and student teachers.
• Must have access to reliable transport to travel to students’ homes or centres.
• Experience teaching or tutoring at institutes, schools, or university preferred.
• Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home, private 1-on-1 tutoring in K-12 subjects (Math, English, Science).
• Tutor students in their home or at a centre in Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan, or Scarborough.
• Set and manage your own schedule, mostly evenings or weekends.
• Prepare and share progress updates with families.

The Tutoring Expert has been providing private 1-on-1 in-home tutoring for students K-12 for the last 20 years.

Our team of educational professionals is looking for K-12 Math, English, & Science Tutors for In-Home Tutoring in the areas of Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan, and, Scarborough.

We are looking for reliable candidates who are passionate about teaching and are professional, enthusiastic, and have great communication skills. We are very fortunate to work with caring families who are looking for equally supportive tutors for their children.

Eligible candidates should be/have:

• University students, graduates, post-graduates, certified teachers, and student teachers.
• Access to a reliable car or public transport for travel to student's home or centre (required).
• Formal or informal teaching/tutoring experience at any institute/school or University.
• Familiar with the Ontario curriculum.

Since we offer part-time hours, we work around your current availability, mostly during the evenings or weekends. Opportunity to set your own schedule and select students based on your availability and location.
