Job summary

Combined Metal Industries in North York, Toronto area, is seeking a General Labour team member to join our outdoor receiving yard. You will provide exceptional customer service to visitors and assist with grading scrap metal in a collaborative environment.

Shift: Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:30pm, with every other Saturday. Salary: $19.00/hour. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and hands-on use of hand/power tools to process materials, keep the yard organized, and support ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial facility and general labour is an asset.
• Good English communication skills.
• Possess the desire and ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest levels of customer service as customers enter the yard.
• Answer customer questions and assist with inquiries as required.
• Using hand and power tools remove batteries, fluids, refrigerants, switches, tires.
• Move items that have been removed to applicable storage areas/containers.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep area and yard clean, organized and safe.

Job Summary
