Job summary

Combined Metal Industries (CMI) is seeking a Loader Operator for our Keele site at Keele and Highway 7. You will be trained to operate equipment, process and prepare recycled metals for shipment to customers who use them as raw material in new goods production.

The role involves operating heavy equipment, loading material into a baler, and preparing shipments while maintaining yard cleanliness. Strong English communication is required; previous baler or front end loader experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment (front end loaders preferred).
• Ability to load and prepare material for shipment.
• Strong English communication skills.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Continental Shift: 7:00am to 7:00pm & 7:00pm to 7:00am

Expected Hourly Rate: $21.00-$25.00

The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!

We are growing and need a Loader Operators to join our team at our Keele site. You will be trained to operator various pieces of equipment, process and prepare recycled metals for shipment to our customers who will use as raw material in the production of new goods. • Safely operate heavy equipment to compact, process, sort and move material
• Load material into baler, operate baler controls
• Prepare and load material in containers, trucks and rail cars for shipments
• General housekeeping of yard

We think it would be awesome if you have:

• Heavy Equipment Operator Certification is an asset
• Previous experience operating a front end loader
• Previous experience with a baler is an asset
• Strong English communication skills
