Job summary

PartSource is seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Canada. You will help ensure that high-quality products reach our stores and customers efficiently, supporting a multi-shift operation that includes weekends.

You will work in a warehouse environment, handling merchandise, operating power equipment, and updating our warehouse management system. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient with computers and able to learn the warehouse system.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Canada or abroad) required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
• Demonstrates ability to work efficiently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Abide by Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participation in cross training of some distribution functions.
• Safe operation of power equipment.
• Following assigned work schedule, and identifying/reporting variances to Crew Lead.
• Verify all merchandise to ensure that it coincides with the paperwork.
• Work in and update warehouse management system.
• Engagement in duties/special projects.
• Participate in team-based decision making as required.

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you’ll work as a part of a team to help ensure that the high-quality products get out to our stores, and ultimately our customers, in the most efficient and responsible way possible. Our Material Handler employees are hired to support a multi-shift operation. This means being able to work shifts throughout the day and including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Abide by Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Participation in cross training of some distribution functions
• Safe operation of power equipment
• Following assigned work schedule, and identifying/reporting variances to Crew Lead
• Verify all merchandise to ensure that it coincides with the paperwork
• Work in and update warehouse management system
• Engagement in duties/special projects
• Participate in team-based decision making as required

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Warehouse employees must be 18 years of age
• Proficient with computers
• Successfully completed high school or equivalent (in Canada or abroad)
• A valid driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract
• Demonstrated competence in power equipment and/or ability to learn new power equipment
• Demonstrates ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
• Able to meet department standards for shift work and physical requirements
• Ability to work at heights of up to 50ft
• Ability to lift, push, pull 22 kgs (50 lbs)
• Ability to walk/stand for up to a 10 hour shift

Our typical hiring range is between $19.25 and $21.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
