Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Proficient with computers.
• Successfully completed high school or equivalent (in Canada or abroad).
• A valid driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract.
• Demonstrated competence in power equipment and/or ability to learn new power equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to work efficiently and as part of a team.
• Able to meet department standards for shift work and physical requirements.
• Ability to work at heights of up to 50ft.
• Ability to lift, push, pull 22 kgs (50 lbs).
• Ability to walk/stand for up to a 10 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Participation in cross training of some distribution functions
• Safe operation of power equipment
• Following assigned work schedule, and identifying/reporting variances to Crew Lead
• Verify all merchandise to ensure that it coincides with the paperwork
• Work in and update warehouse management system
• Engagement in duties/special projects
• Participate in team-based decision making as required

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you’ll work as a part of a team to help ensure that the high-quality products get out to our stores, and ultimately our customers, in the most efficient and responsible way possible. Our Material Handler employees are hired to support a multi-shift operation. This means being able to work shifts throughout the day and including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Abide by Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Participation in cross training of some distribution functions

Our typical hiring range is between $16.35 and $21.00 per hour. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
