Job summary

Curtiss-Wright in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking a Material Handler for the 3:30 pm to 12:00 midnight shift to support both Materials Handling and Inventory Control. The role involves processing materials, FIFO compliance, and packing/stockroom deliveries within a high-mix manufacturing environment.

You will perform kitting, cycle counts, and documentation, with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and process improvement, while upholding safety and quality standards at Curtiss-Wright.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education and 2–4 years in a warehouse environment, or equivalent 2+ years of SAP material kitting and stockroom experience.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong team player and ability to manage priorities.
• Accuracy and quality of work.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (minimum 30 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Processing material at count areas.
• Delivery of material to stockrooms, including verification and maintaining First-in-first-out policy.
• Perform variety of kitting and order picking functions.
• Maintaining policies and procedures, training others as required.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Perform Cycle Count activities.
• Picking kits and delivering raw and semi-finished materials to the production floor.
• Putting stock away in the warehouse.
• Preparing all related documents in strict accordance with current corporate procedures.
• Cycle count inventory.
• Resolving discrepancies, and recommending changes to processes to reduce future discrepancies.
