Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a full-time Material Handler (Glass) at our Denver, CO facility. You will move materials with vacuum lift assist equipment and manually handle carts to support production, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

The role demands safety awareness, teamwork, and reliability in a manufacturing setting. Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to read a tape measure.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Stable work history with manufacturing/fabrication experience and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Available to work a 5-day workweek with occasional Saturdays.
• Must be flexible to work in different functions throughout the plant.
• Basic computer input and interface skills.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using vacuum lift assist equipment and manually move carts to support production.
• Follow safety policies, report hazards, and adhere to procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning and inspecting equipment; keep work areas organized.
• Understand and comply with written policies and verbal instructions; work with colleagues to maintain a safe environment.

What You’ll Get to Do

Thefull-time Material Handler (Glass)for ourDenver, CO facility is focused on moving materials using vacuum lift assist equipment, manually lifting and moving mobile carts from one position/location to another to facilitate the production process and reports the Production Supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:

• The ability to perform tasks safely, adhere to all safety policies and procedures and correct or report hazards in the workplace
• Understand and apply inspection procedures and tolerances to pass or reject materials and/or products
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting. Keep work areas clean and organized
• Understand and comply with all written policies, work rules, and instructions. Execute verbal directions as instructed.
• Respect co-workers to maintain a civil and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic computer input and interface skills
• Ability to read and use a tape measure
• Stable work history with previous manufacturing/fabrication experience and/or mechanical aptitude preferred
• Available to work a 5-day workweek with occasional work on Saturdays
• Must be flexible to work in different functions throughout the plant
• Starting wage is $19.50 per hour, with $4.00 additional per hour for the second shift
• Hours: 1st shift 5am - 5pm / 2nd shift 5pm - 1:30am.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry, walk, and reach frequently
• Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards and other safety equipment for eight to twelve hours per day
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment without temperature or humidity control
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs

Position Pay Range

$19.50—$21 USD
