OBE in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Night Loader to ensure our customers receive quality product on time and to support the Shipping Team under the Transportation Lead.

This night-shift role suits individuals who enjoy physical work and can picture how items come together. Sunday–Thursday 9:30pm–5:30am with a 30‑minute paid lunch and a $3.00 shift premium.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75lbs regularly.
• Comfort with standing for long periods.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Work with load lists to locate and gather items for loading.
• Organize and secure loaded items with appropriate packing.
• Load and secure items onto trucks or frames manually or with equipment (up to 75lbs).
• Measure items for accuracy and read tags to ensure correct shipments.
• Cross-train in different functions within the Shipping Team.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Night Loader is focused on ensuring our customers get the quality product they need on time and reports to the Transportation Lead.

This role is perfect for an individual who likes to work night shift, enjoys physical work and can envision how things go together. A vital member of the Shipping Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Note this role is Sunday through Thursday from 9:30pm to 5:30am with a 30 minute paid lunch; there is a $3.00 shift premium for all hours worked on this shift.

Job responsibilities include:

• Work with load lists to locate and gather glass for the loading of trucks including scanning glass onto trucks
• Organize and secure loaded glass with appropriate packing material
• Load and secure glass onto truck(s) or frames either manually (up to 75lbs or using crane)
• Measure all glass for accuracy, ensure proper reading of tags for glass selection and accuracy of shipments and quality; reject if incorrect
• Role will include multi-tasking in the department and cross training in different functions
