Job summary

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP in Canada is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to move, load, and stage outgoing material and unload incoming shipments in a fast-paced electronics recycling facility.

Responsibilities include safe forklift operation, accurate in‑bound/outbound documentation, routine pre-use inspections, and assisting with production through sorting and dismantling tasks while strictly following safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Forklift license required, 0–1 years experience in industrial setting.
  • Computer skills and ability to record shipments accurately.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to safety and adherence to procedures.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift safely following all protocols.
  • Move materials between workstations and load trucks.
  • Verify inbound/outbound shipments match specifications.
  • Assist with production tasks: sorting, dismantling as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and proper documentation.

Job description

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP is Canada's largest and most important integrated computer asset disposal and recycling processor. We are committed to the safe and secure reuse of electronics, the responsible recycling of electronics to divert waste from landfills and the recovery of natural resources from obsolete electronics.

The Forklift Operator operates a forklift and locates, moves, stages, and loads outgoing material on trucks, as well as unloads and moves incoming material from trucks to designated areas according to company procedure. They are also responsible for making sure all in-bound shipments received conform to agreed specifications, by accurately identifying and recording shipments according to the company’s procedure and that all in-bound and out-bound pallets/inventory are tagged correctly. In addition, this role will assist with production; sorting, manually dismantling and disassembling electronics and related equipment in an efficient manner while respecting the standards of security and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Operation:
    • Certified and able to operate a forklift while adhering to all safety protocols.
    • Safely transport products in bins, bales, cartons, or on skids between workstations, ensuring timely delivery to meet the production schedule.
    • Monitor the production schedule to track material requirements, movements, and deliveries across departments.
    • Load, unload, and relocate materials, ensuring proper stacking, accurate documentation, and secured loads.
    • Monitor loads for hazardous waste and report any issues or concerns to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
Pre-Use Inspection & Maintenance
  • Perform pre-shift forklift inspections and complete the inspection sheet in eCompliance, ensuring all logs are maintained.
  • Inspect forklifts and other equipment for any issues with brakes, controls, battery, tires, and fluid levels, and report defects immediately.
  • Identify and report any non-conformance or irregularities in maintenance logs to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring materials are stored properly and accessible for retrieval while following safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required for maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Forklift license required, with 0–1 years of experience operating a forklift in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Computer knowledge and skills is required
  • 1-2 years of experience in shipping or receiving in an industrial setting
  • Previous experience in any industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
  • Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships).
  • High level of concentration.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Tasks require lifting of up to 20 lbs. regularly or 50 lbs. occasionally as well as reaching for /pushing and pulling various weights.
  • Positive attituded and desire to learn
  • High school diploma is preferred.
