Job summary

Tigercat Industries is seeking a Material Handler to help manage the flow of goods by unloading shipments and organizing materials in designated storage areas. You will also load outgoing shipments onto trucks, inspect materials for damage, and report issues.

You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure timely production. This role requires forklift operation experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing demands in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous material handling experience in an industrial setting.
  • Prior forklift training and experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task.
  • Physical requirements include driving (90%), standing, and climbing.
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of production.
  • Perform daily inspection of material handling equipment ( forklift, walkie ), and report any damage to the equipment.
  • Organize and maintain 5S in storage areas both within the plant and outside.
  • Review paperwork to locate parts and transport them to departments throughout the plant.
  • Follow written directions and interpret schedules, shipping documents, and drawings.
  • Communicate with project managers and supervisors to understand production schedules.

Job description

As the Material Handler, you will help manag e the flow of goods by unload ing shipments and organizing materials in designated storage areas . You will be in close communication with various departments within the organization .

Location: 160 Consolidated Drive, Paris, ON

Dedicated Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday

Job Duties:

  • Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside
