Job Description
Reporting to the Supervisor - Facilities & Maintenance, the Material Handler I will be responsible for transporting and moving large components and finished products to designated locations using cranes, forklifts, or other recommended means.
Shifts must have flexibility to work rotating shifts to accommodate the production schedule, including days, afternoons, nights and overtime as required.

Responsibilities
- Operate winches, cranes, forklifts and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks
- Wrap large components with lightweight tarps and use propane torches as required
- Perform material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking
- Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders, and other equipment to transport materials and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses as required
- Perform other activities such as opening containers and crates, filling orders, assisting with inventory, and weighing and checking materials
- Document product shipments by recording units shipped
- Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs
- Keep inventory areas, loading areas, and machinery clean
- Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time

- Experience: 2 years of related experience required. Previous stock or inventory experience is a plus. Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack is a plus.
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
