Job summary

Stuart Olson in Alberta is seeking a Material Handler for a long-term maintenance contract near Red Deer. The role involves managing, cataloguing and storing material, tracking inventory and supporting delivery tasks with van and forklift.

You'll work 4 days on, 3 days off, 10 hours per day, with safety as priority. Ideal candidates have Petro Chemical facility experience, forklift ticket, and a valid 3-year driver’s abstract. Benefits include vacation pay, RRSPs and health & dental coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, preferably in Petro Chemical facilities.
• Forklift operation and manual handling experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year driving abstract and safety tickets are required.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage, catalogue and store material
• Track inventory levels
  • Shipper
  • Receiver
  • Issue Counter
  • Delivery (Van and Forklift) Technicians
• Prioritize a safe working environment for all the team members

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a warehouse on a multi trade, complex Petro Chemical facility
• Valid driver’s license with a 3-year driver’s abstract
• Forklift ticket
• Driver’s License w/ a 3-year driver’s abstract
• Required Safety Tickets:
  • CSTS-2020
  • First Aid
  • Energy Safety Canada
    • Fall Protection
    • Confined Space
• Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test

Working Conditions

• Working at heights, in and around noise, dust, indoor and outdoor in hot and cold weather conditions
• Working in a confined space
• Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements

• Must be clean shaven
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
