Job summary

Salford Group, a Linamar Company, is seeking a Material Handler for a 3-month contract with potential for full-time. The role involves preparing parts for production, following parts lists, and moving/organizing materials to meet deadlines.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will stage, sort, and transport goods, operate a forklift and possibly an overhead crane with training provided. High school diploma preferred; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand order sheets and picking lists.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) is an advantage.
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal is an asset
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for preparing parts to use in production. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role will be required to follow parts lists, to move and organize parts, and work efficiently to meet deadlines.
