Job summary

Linamar Corporation in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a student for part-time production support on a rotating shift basis. The role involves loading/unloading parts, sorting materials, inspecting quality, and routine cleaning to keep the plant safe and efficient.

Candidates must be in school with graduation after 2026 and be able to work 24 hours per week, including Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts. Safety and PPE training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be in school and graduating December 31, 2026 or later.
• Available to work 24 hours per week, weekdays included, on a permanent basis.
• Ability to work rotating Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts onto conveyors and production machinery.
• Move, inspect, package, and sort raw materials and finished products.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe work area.
• Follow work instructions to produce quality parts and meet targets.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Job description

Provides production support and performs manual labor along a production line. Provides quality, effective parts, while meeting production targets. This position may be assigned to a particular production area and accountable for cleaning work areas and equipment and perform other tasks as needed.

Performance Expectations

• Follow work instructions to produce quality parts and meet daily target
• Load and unload parts onto and from conveyors and production machinery.
• Remove, package, and sort raw materials and finished products using manual or powered equipment.
• Inspect and sort parts to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties for the plant, machinery, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Credentials

• Must be in school– Highschool or Postsecondary School (graduating December 31, 2026 or later)

Schedule

• Must be available to work 24 hrs./week, weekdays included (cannot work only in weekend) on a permanent basis. The schedule changes on each school semester.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts:
  • Day 7am-3pm;
  • Afternoon 3pm-11pm;
  • Night 11pm-7am next day

Note: Answer the shift availability questions based on your July–August 2026 school schedule. Do not include any shifts or availability periods that conflict with your class schedule.

Desired Characteristics

• Thorough understanding and application of safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to follow basic instructions and perform repetitive tasks
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

Moves equipment weighing up to 40pounds on a repetitive basis.

• Must be minimum 17 yrs old to work in our environment
