Job summary

Linamar Corporation in Canada is seeking an Assembler I for night shift duties assembling Salford Group products per SOPs. You will work independently and in teams to meet quality and efficiency standards on the production line.

The role offers a night shift premium with competitive pay, plus opportunities to gain experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and tool operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience with hydraulics and mechanical assembly is desirable.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assemble and package machines following SOPs within standard times.
Operate hand tools, slings, grinders, and cutting tools as needed.
Maintain a clean work area and equipment.
Ensure equipment is in good condition; report maintenance needs.
Load/unload parts on the main paint line.
Check output for quality and report defects.
Follow health & safety regulations and company policies.
Assist team members and take on additional duties as assigned.
Troubleshoot minor hydraulic/electrical issues.

Job description

Note: This role is a Night Shift position and pays a premium of $2.20

Pay Range: $23.70 - $30.35

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the Assembler I will be responsible for assembling various Salford products and components according to Standard Operating Procedures. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that each product assembled meets the required quality and efficiency Standards.

Responsibility

Independently assemble and package machines following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to our standard or average allotted times

Operate small hand tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs.

Maintain a clean work area and equipment

Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when required

Safely load and unload parts on and from the main paint line

Check Individual output to ensure highest quality

Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts

Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures

Assist other team members and take on other duties as assigned by the lead hand or supervisor

Troubleshoot minor hydraulic/ Electrical issues

Academic/Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Required Skills/Experience

Experience working with hydraulics, electronic equipment, and other mechanical work is preferred

Safe operation of Forklift and overhead Cranes.

Experience with hand tools and power tools

Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device

Ability to troubleshoot and identify mechanical errors

Must be organized, proactive, and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace

Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided)

Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
