Job summary

Linamar, through Salford Group, is seeking an Assembler I for a night shift role. You will assemble Salford products per SOPs, operate forklifts and overhead cranes, and ensure quality while working both independently and in a team.

A high school diploma and experience with hydraulics and electrical/mechanical systems are preferred. Responsibilities include loading parts, maintaining tools, and troubleshooting minor issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics, electronic equipment, and other mechanical work preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools recommended.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machines and package products following SOPs and timing standards.
• Operate hand tools, slings, grinders, and cutting torches as required.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment; report maintenance needs.
• Load/unload parts on the main paint line safely.
• Inspect output for quality; report issues or defects.
• Follow Health & Safety rules and company policies.
• Assist team and take on additional duties as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor hydraulic/electrical issues.

Job Title: Assembler I

Note: This role is a Night Shift position and pays a premium of $2.20

Pay Range: $23.70 - $30.35

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, the Assembler I will be responsible for assembling various Salford products and components according to Standard Operating Procedures. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that each product assembled meets the required quality and efficiency Standards.

Responsibility

• Independently assemble and package machines following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to our standard or average allotted times
• Operate small hand tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job's needs.
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment
• Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when required
• Safely load and unload parts on and from the main paint line
• Check Individual output to ensure highest quality
• Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
• Work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures
• Assist other team members and take on other duties as assigned by the lead hand or supervisor
• Troubleshoot minor hydraulic/ Electrical issues

Academic/Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience working with hydraulics, electronic equipment, and other mechanical work is preferred
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail
• Safe operation of Forklift and overhead Cranes.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify mechanical errors
• Must be organized, proactive, and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace
• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided)
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
