Job summary

Ryerson Canada is seeking a Material Handler at our Edmonton, AB branch to support day-to-day staging, packing and picking of material for shipments using proper equipment.

The role is based at 7945 Coronet Rd NW, Edmonton, with shifts Monday to Friday from 3:30pm–12:00am and alternating shifts as needed to meet operational needs. You will operate a forklift or overhead crane and complete SAP shipping/receiving paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of similar job experience.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
• Basic math and measuring skills required.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders
• Packaging of material to customer requirements
• Operating a forklift or overhead crane to move material as needed
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation
• All other duties as assigned
