Job summary

FARRIS ENGINEERING in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking a Material Handler to join our team. The role focuses on moving, storing, and tracking materials and products, with a mix of shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment responsibilities.

You will perform labeling, packaging, cycle counts, and may operate a forklift. This is a full-time position offering $20-$24 per hour, with paid time off, RRSP with employer match, health benefits, and opportunities for development.

Material Handler

We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Farris team in Brantford, Ontario!

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products for a facility. Under general supervision, performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Location: Brantford, ON.

Salary: $20-$24/Hourly

YOUR CHALLENGE:

• Executes daily material handling activities including receiving, inspecting, and storing materials, parts and products. Ensures that all materials are properly labeled, packaged, and stored in designated areas. (20%)
• Supports the inventory management process by counting and verifying materials, parts and products. Identifies and reports any discrepancies or damages. Recommends process improvements to reduce future discrepancies. (20%)
• Executes daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing materials, preparing shipments and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Contacts carriers to pick up freight. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. (20%)
• Performs a variety of kitting and order functions. Performs cycle count inventory. (20%)
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. (20%)

WHAT YOU BRING:
