Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions Division in Ottawa, Ontario, is seeking a Materials Handler Associate to support receiving, inventory control and production material flow. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork and basic warehouse experience.

Training and development opportunities are provided in a collaborative environment. The position features a daytime-to-evening schedule with a focus on accurate processing, stock handling and cycle counts, while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

  • Some secondary school education and 0-2 years of warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with SAP would be considered an asset
  • Material kitting and stockroom experience
  • Good computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Process material at count areas and deliver to stockrooms while maintaining FIFO.
  • Delivery of material to stockrooms, including verification and maintaining First‑in‑first‑out policy.
  • Perform a variety of kitting and order picking functions.
  • Maintain policies and procedures; training others as required; recommend process improvements.
  • Perform cycle count activities in inventory control.
  • Accurate and secure storage of finished goods; maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.

3:30 pm – 12:00 midnight As part of the Materials team, working under general supervision, carry out semi‑routine tasks in support of both the Materials Handling and Inventory Control functions. Works with clearly established procedures to perform duties. Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Salary Range: $35,300 - $47,100 plus 10% shift premium Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Your Challenge:

In Materials Handling, the focus is on the processing of material from the time it arrives in receiving until it is consumed in manufacturing. Tasks may include: Processing material at count areas Delivery of material to stockrooms, including verification and maintaining First‑in‑first‑out policy Perform variety of kitting and order picking functions Maintaining policies and procedures, training others as required Recommend process improvements Perform Cycle Count activities In Inventory Control, the focus is on maintenance of inventory accuracy, performing inventory counts and investigations, analyzing and resolving shortages, ensuring all transactions and documentation are completed in an accurate and timely fashion. This role is also responsible for the accurate and secure storage of finished goods. Tasks may include, but not limited to: Picking kits and delivering raw and semi‑finished materials to the production floor Putting stock away in the warehouse Preparing all related documents in strict accordance with current corporate procedures Cycle count inventory Resolving discrepancies, and recommending changes to processes to reduce future discrepancies Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

What You Bring:
