Job summary

HOK is a collective of forward-thinking designers committed to shaping a better world. We are seeking a Marketing & Communications professional in Toronto to craft proposals, write compelling responses, and manage marketing materials.

The role blends design with strategic storytelling. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or graphic design.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports the development, design and production of proposals, qualifications, brochures, and presentations.
• Assists with writing effective proposal responses, project and personnel descriptions, and award submittals.
• Maintain and update Canada’s marketing materials including case studies and team resumes.
• Collaborates with the Canadian marketing team, studio leaders, design teams, and other global professionals.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports the technical and creative development, design and production of proposals, qualifications, brochures, and presentations.
• Assists with the writing of effective proposal responses, project and personnel descriptions, and award submittals.
• Maintain and update Canada’s marketing materials including case studies, and team resumes.
• Works closely with a variety of groups including the Canadian marketing team, studio leaders, design teams, and other global professionals within the company.

• Previous experience within architecture/design, construction and commercial real estate industries is desirable, but not required.

Technical Skills

• Minimum intermediate level of skill in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint is required (95% of work commitments involve the use of these two programs).
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are considered an asset.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, English literature, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of related professional experience.

• Overtime will be required, when necessary to meet deadlines.
