Our multidisciplinary team combines various engineering disciplines, technologists, sales specialists, and applications support to deliver precision instruments that advance biomedical research, while also providing general-purpose mechanical testing solutions for primary research and materials engineering courses.
We want to launch a comprehensive new marketing strategy and are seeking a Marketing & Communications Lead with a strong background in scientific and technical marketing. This is a unique opportunity to shape and directly implement a new strategy by creating content and campaigns that speak directly to the global academic and research community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a marketing plan that positions CellScale as a leader in biomaterials testing within academic and biomedical research.
- Create high-quality technical content, including white papers, application notes, product brochures, and research case studies tailored to scientists and engineers.
- Maintain and expand the company website with up-to-date content, application-focused product pages, and improved usability for researchers.
- Utilize AI tools strategically to accelerate content development, keyword optimization, and campaign personalization.
- Lead SEO optimization efforts with a focus on research-driven keywords and academic relevance.
- Plan and execute targeted Google Ads and other digital campaigns to reach specialized research audiences.
- Develop and maintain CellScale’s professional presence on LinkedIn and other academic/professional platforms.
- Grow CellScale’s YouTube channel with technical product demonstrations, application tutorials, and research highlight videos.
- Design and implement outbound email campaigns directed at academic and industry researchers, leveraging tools such as SciLeads for lead generation and outreach. Prospect and qualify these leads and direct them to our sales team.
Sales & Research Community Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate marketing materials that resonate with academic researchers and funding bodies.
- Provide targeted support for sales prospecting initiatives in specialized research areas.
- Track campaign effectiveness, generate reports, and recommend strategies for improved engagement with the scientific community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in scientific/technical marketing, preferably in the sciences, engineering, or laboratory equipment sector.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to clearly communicate scientific concepts to a research audience.
- Experience developing marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, and product brochures for technical products
- Experience managing websites (WordPress or similar) is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads is an asset.
- Experience with lead-generation tools (e.g., SciLeads) is an asset.
- Multimedia content development skills (video editing, graphics, or animations) are preferred
- Strong organizational skills, independence, and the ability to collaborate effectively with sales and engineering teams.
