Responsibilities

This is a 12 month fixed term employee contract in the first instance, with possibility of extension.

This role is part of our eBay Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT® but embedded within eBay.

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing and Communications Manager to lead strategic communications initiatives supporting major business priorities and regulatory launches for eBay's Global Regulatory team. This role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment, enjoys collaborating with senior leaders, and can connect multiple communications channels into cohesive, high-impact campaigns.

The successful candidate brings strong corporate and technology-sector experience, exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, and a polished, proactive approach. We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with execution excellence — and who brings positive energy, curiosity, and a genuinely engaging personality to the team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies to support business objectives and regulatory initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior executives and internal stakeholders
  • Manage communications timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination
  • Create polished executive presentations and strategic storytelling materials in Google Slides

  • Manage staff of 2 people
  • Oversee content management and support campaign execution from planning through delivery
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, strategic communications, or related fields
  • Experience working within the technology sector or fast-paced corporate environments
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior executives and leadership teams
  • Strong people management and team leadership experience
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000 CAD. Salary is based on relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact.
