Job summary

Jobtailor in Calgary is seeking a seasoned project readiness lead for renewable power assets. You will drive operational readiness, commissioning, and asset handover, partnering with engineering, operations, and supply chain to align priorities and resolve issues.

Travel across North America, interpret drawings and specs, monitor milestones, and ensure documentation meets standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting renewable power or related projects.
  • Experience across multiple stakeholder groups in project/operational/technical environments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specs, supplier docs, contracts, and installation procedures.
  • Strong understanding of project execution, operational readiness, turnover, and asset acceptance.
  • Ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Facilitate productive discussions and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willing to travel across North America as required.
  • Security screening may be required.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting renewable power, utilities, energy infrastructure, or related projects
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups in a project, operational, or technical environment
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, supplier documentation, contracts, and installation procedures
  • Strong understanding of project execution, operational readiness, project turnover, and asset acceptance processes
  • Ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop practical solutions
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to facilitate productive discussions and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to deliver results while managing competing priorities
  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check
  • Ability and willingness to travel across North America as required
  • Physical ability including grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting of objects up to 20 pounds, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual and hearing requirements
  • Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, understand complex problems, organize and prioritize work, make moderate-impact decisions, complete routine forms, compose basic reports, and communicate by telephone
