- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on wind turbines and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to support reliable turbine performance
- Follow safety procedures, including LOTO, hazard assessments, and proper use of PPE
- Complete maintenance reports, service documentation, and work orders accurately
- Support 24/7 wind farm operations, including on-call, overtime, and rotating shift coverage
- Assist with equipment inspections, root cause analysis, and system upgrades
- Maintain tools, equipment, and required certifications
- Work closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations
- Collaborate with operational and back-office teams to maintain wind farm availability and service performance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of technical training, experience, and safety certifications
- Wind, electrical, mechanical, or technical education/certification is an asset
- 0 to 1 year of wind industry experience preferred
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working at heights over 300 feet (100 meters) and lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and confined spaces
- Ability to travel for training and support at other sites as needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
- Ability to work in Canada without sponsorship and travel to the U.S. for onboarding and training
