Job summary

FLOFORM Countertops is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Winnipeg, MB to ensure the safe and reliable operation of production and facility assets. This role supports TPM initiatives and continuous improvement across the plant.

The ideal candidate has post-secondary education in a related field, 2 years’ experience in a similar role, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 100 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred. This is an on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in a related field
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Basic computer skills for parts research
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical and control principles
• Has or can obtain fork lift operators certificate
• Regular bending, twisting, and kneeling
• Able to lift 100lbs assisted

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and reliable function of all production equipment, tools, and vehicles
• Implement total productive maintenance plan (TPM) to be carried out by staff throughout production
• Advise on process changes and associated work instructions/SOP’s
• Creation of jigs, fixtures, and individual work cells with a focus on efficiency and setup reduction
• Promote and support ‘5S’ standard throughout the plant
• Development and control of critical parts inventory
• General maintenance for local buildings/property and liaison with external contractors.
• Maintain proficiency of current product/material specifications
• Sets up and calibrates production equipment and tools to ensure effective operation and quality
• Supports production team as required, including operating equipment and routine housekeeping
• Participate in team huddles
• Other duties as assigned
