Job summary

Norsat International seeks an engineer to provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing lines and help scale RF product designs into production environments.

You will review production docs, perform first article inspections, and collaborate with Engineering to process ECOs. Experience with RF/testing and Lean methodologies are valued assets. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with RF testing or high-frequency systems (preferred).
  • Exposure to MRP systems and ECO processes.
  • Exposure to electrical assemblies and documentation.
  • Exposure to ESD-safe practices.
  • Understanding of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.

Job description

In this role, you will provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth production of RF products and rapid resolution of technical challenges.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production lines
  • Assist with scaling new product designs into manufacturing environments
  • Review and maintain production documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Complete first article inspections and validate component quality
  • Collaborate with Engineering to process ECOs and design revisions
  • Troubleshoot failures involving electrical components and assemblies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to quality and efficiency
What You'll Bring:
