Job summary

Norsat International Inc. is seeking an engineer to provide hands-on support for manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth RF product production and rapid resolution of technical challenges.

The role involves day-to-day line support, scaling designs for manufacturing, and maintaining accurate production documentation. On-site work is required, with relocation as necessary; candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with RF testing or high-frequency systems preferred.
  • Exposure to MRP systems and ECO processes.
  • ISO-compliant manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production lines
  • Assist with scaling new product designs into manufacturing environments
  • Review and maintain production documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Complete first article inspections and validate component quality
  • Collaborate with Engineering to process ECOs and design revisions
  • Troubleshoot failures involving electrical components and assemblies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to quality and efficiency

Summary:
