Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and timeliness in production. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, assigning daily work based on needs and employee strengths, providing hands-on support, and driving safety, quality, delivery, and morale improvements. The role also involves continuous department improvement, training, and development of reports.

Job Duties

• Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently, complying with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Train, guide, and coach employees to meet operational goals and produce high-quality products.
• Evaluate interpersonal skills, provide feedback, and suggest communication improvements.
• Schedule and assign personnel according to manufacturing demands.
• Assess equipment capacity and material supply to optimize output.
• Match employee capabilities with job requirements on the manufacturing floor.
• Monitor and track output, processes, labor efficiency, expenses, and quality indicators.
• Measure performance and quality metrics.
• Drive positive results in operational KPIs.
• Build relationships with other departments to meet production schedules.
• Participate in regular management meetings to review results and priorities.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Manage awareness and responsibilities related to the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

• 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Labour Laws.
• Conflict resolution and time management skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with computers and information systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability to support off-shift operations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
