Job summary

Zehnder Group North America in London, Ontario is seeking an experienced Plant Accountant to support financial and operational performance of our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Controller, Ventilation North America, you will perform financial analysis, close activities, and partner with Operations and Supply Chain to drive improvements.

You have a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, CPA preferred, 5 years manufacturing accounting, strong Excel and cost accounting knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory control.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close, financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead production variances.
• Manage inventory valuation and support physical inventory activities.
• Track capital expenditures and asset capitalization.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning; prepare weekly sales and production reporting.
• Prepare monthly tax filings, including HST and QST.
• Develop financial reports and dashboards for management.
• Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve financial and operational performance.
