Job summary

Zehnder Group North America in London, Ontario, is seeking a Plant Accountant to support financial and operational performance of manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Controller, Ventilation North America, you will analyze financial data and partner with Operations and Supply Chain to drive performance.

This role suits an accounting professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and wants to directly influence business results. Strong Excel and NetSuite experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory control.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close, financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead production variances
• Manage inventory valuation and support physical inventory activities
• Track capital expenditures and ensure appropriate asset capitalization
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Prepare and analyze weekly sales and production reporting
• Prepare monthly tax filings, including HST and QST
• Develop financial reports and dashboards for management
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve financial and operational performance
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
• Provide support to AP and AR during periods of increased volume or employee absence
