Job summary

Johnson Controls Canada is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead financial control and accounting at our plant. You will ensure timely reporting, analyze costs, and partner with sales, engineering and procurement.

The role requires a Master’s in Accounting or Finance with 8–10 years in manufacturing finance, deep knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP, and strong communication with operations leaders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing finance.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP.
• Excellent communication and partnering with operations leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial control and accounting activities for the plant.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to reduce costs and improve ROI.
• Ensure integrity of plant financial information.
• Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts, and weekly outlooks.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement on cost standards.
• Review payroll controls and ensure SOX compliance.
• Coordinate fixed asset inventories and capitalization.
• Support IT systems reliability and CI initiatives.
