Job summary

KATIMAVIK, a Quebec-based green energy manufacturing company, is seeking a Financial Controller CPA to join its finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be a hands-on leader in accounting, treasury, budgeting, and cost control.

You will lead monthly closings, supervise entries and reconciliations, ensure data integrity, and partner with operations to improve cost accounting and cash management.

Qualifications

• CPA with a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in a controller or assistant controller role.
• Significant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CAS, cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting and cash management.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP and big data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in monthly closings.
• Supervise and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Ensure the integrity of financial information and controls.
• Participate in treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Contribute to manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and cost variance analysis.
• Improve accounting processes and collaborate with operational teams.
