Job summary

Fed Finance is seeking a capable controller for a manufacturing company based in Laval. The role reports to the president and involves overseeing financial planning, implementing processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• CPA certification is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in similar roles; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Professional knowledge of MS Office and ERP (Epicor preferred).

• Bilingual in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial and strategic planning for the organization.
• Prepare and approve monthly and annual financial statements (entity and consolidated).
• Develop and implement accounting methods and procedures.
• Manage cost control and production cost standards compliance.
• Contribute to investment project evaluations with senior management.
• Negotiate and manage contracts including legal and financial aspects.

Mission

We are seeking a controller for a manufacturing company located in Laval.

Reporting to the president, your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the organization’s financial and strategic planning
• Implementing the management processes and administrative procedures necessary for the teams to function effectively
• Participate in the negotiation and management of contracts, including legal and financial aspects
• Ensure regulatory compliance of the departments under your responsibility, in accordance with internal policies
• Contribute to the evaluation of investment projects alongside senior management
• Prepare and approve financial statements (by entity and consolidated, on a monthly and annual basis)
• Oversees cost control and adherence to production standards
• Establishes accounting methods and procedures and ensures their implementation
• Fosters a motivating work environment focused on accountability and performance
• Mentors, motivates, and develops team members
• Serves as a point of reference on financial and accounting issues related to integrated management systems

Your profile

What we’re looking for:

• CPA certification
