Job summary

NexWav is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the reliability of financial information and elevate accounting practices across Canada and the United States.

You will guide a growing accounting team, drive consolidation, and strengthen controls while advancing automation and data centralization for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation required or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of experience in financial control, auditing, or corporate accounting.
  • Strong mastery of accounting standards, period ends, and consolidated statements.
  • Experience in team management or development.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP proficiency.
  • Ability to work in both French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise accounting activities and period ends.
  • Ensure production of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated FS.
  • Guide and develop team members.
  • Strengthen internal controls and document processes.
  • Lead budgets and financial projections.
  • Analyze results for decision-making support.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax files.
  • Oversee cash management, flows, financing, and FX risk.
  • Ensure compliance with sales taxes in relevant territories.
  • Oversee analyses related to investments.
  • Contribute to automation and data centralization.

Your role

You will become a reference for the quality of financial information and the improvement of accounting practices.

Specifically, you will be required to:

  • Supervise accounting activities and period ends
  • Ensure the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Guide, mobilize, and advance team members
  • Strengthen internal controls and document financial processes
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial projections
  • Analyze results and provide useful information for decision-making
  • Coordinate external audits and tax files
  • Supervise cash management, cash flows, financing, and foreign exchange risk
  • Ensure compliance with sales taxes in the relevant territories
  • Oversee analyses related to investment projects
  • Contribute to automation, data centralization, and system evolution
  • Ensure follow-up on transfer pricing, grants, and certain corporate files
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in financial control, auditing, or corporate accounting
  • Strong mastery of accounting standards, period ends, and consolidated financial statements
  • Experience in team management or development
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with an ERP
  • Ability to work in both French and English, orally and in writing
  • Mobilizing leadership, professional judgment, and ability to set priorities
Assets
  • Experience in a manufacturing or multi-site company
  • Exposure to Canadian and American activities
  • Knowledge of a complex ERP
  • Strong interest in automation and artificial intelligence tools
