Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing and repair processes in our repair factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in problem solving, project management, process optimization and continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role will involve collaborating across teams, management and union, as well as external vendors. This role will report directly to the factory manager.

How you’ll make an impact

Analyze current condition vs desired condition, lead improvement projects from justification through to implementation and handover to operations

Perform Value stream mapping, Develop and implement procedures and processes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards and quality requirements.

Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation opportunities.

Conduct Root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions.

Monitor and focus on improvement of key performance indicators

Your background

Bachelor’s in Engineering

3+ Years Experience in manufacturing environment

Strong skills with Microsoft Suite

Proficiency in CAD

Knowledge in Lean manufacturing principles

Strong Problem-Solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Union Experience is an asset

Experience with construction projects is an asset
