Join to apply for the Manufacturing Engineer - Senior role at Cummins India.

We are seeking a talented On-site Manufacturing Engineer-Hybrid to join our Electrolyzer-Operation team at the Accelera by Cummins Site in Mississauga, ON.

In this role, you will:
  • Ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
  • Improve manufacturing equipment and processes using your knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools to enhance work efficiency and quality.
  • Follow Cummins standards and lead the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
  • Communicate effectively with and influence key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to Cummins’ processes.
  • Maintain relationships and coach key stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
  • Develop and deliver effective communication tailored to different audiences.
  • Champion proactive health and safety behaviors to promote an injury-free workplace.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to develop manufacturing processes.
  • Select and procure manufacturing equipment that meets specifications.
  • Use digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes for data-driven decisions.
  • Implement process improvements, tooling, and equipment changes to meet functional needs.
  • Produce clear manufacturing procedures for process standardization.
  • Possess a degree in STEM or related field, with intermediate relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety regulations, supervisory experience, and familiarity with manufacturing KPIs.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal forming, CNC machining, and automation technologies.
  • High proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and understanding of GD&T standards.
  • Ability to lead problem-solving activities using root cause analysis tools.
