Job summary

Olymel is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator in Red Deer to drive sustainable performance and embed best practices across sites. You will lead and support improvement projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires a degree in engineering/operations, 3–5 years in manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Green Belt preferred), and proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in a relevant field (engineering, operations, management, or related discipline).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
• Strong ability to train, coach, and influence individuals or teams.
• Green Belt certification (an asset) and/or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Valid driver’s license (frequent travel between sites required).
• Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the implementation and sustainability of continuous improvement programs.
• Identify improvement opportunities and integrate best practices into daily operations.
• Train, coach, and support teams (DMAIC, DMS management processes, etc.).
• Prepare and lead various meetings (reviews, brainstorming sessions, workshops).
• Coordinate cross-functional working groups related to continuous improvement (Kaizen, continuous improvement initiatives, etc.).
• Act as a change agent to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead and/or support all phases of project management.
• Monitor and drive the execution of operational improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.
• Participate in internal and cross-site audits related to the continuous improvement program (Olympac).
