Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Calgary seeks an experienced Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead lean initiatives, reduce costs, and improve product quality. You will collaborate with engineering and production to optimize layouts, workflow, and equipment uptime, while driving APQP, 8D problem solving and preventive maintenance programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Solid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge and experience.
• CAD experience (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Solid project management skills.
• Knowledge of PLC/machine control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI initiatives to improve product quality, reliability and costs.
• Identify and implement improvements with tooling, fabrication processes, and equipment.
• Optimize facility layout and material flow for safety and efficiency.
• Analyze workflow and space requirements to boost efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance to keep equipment operational per OEM instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure standards are followed.
• Participate in JHA creation and reviews for equipment and tasks.
• Develop Time and Operational Standards to support estimating and scheduling.
• Drive APQP, 8D problem solving, and corrective actions to completion.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program.
