As the Manager of Solution Engineering Operations, you will be curious, open, driven & entrepreneurial. You will lead the vision, strategy, and continuous improvement of Prophix’s global demo infrastructure while empowering the Solution Engineering team to deliver seamless, high-impact presentations that support sales success.

You will work cross-departmentally to identify new areas of opportunity to apply the Prophix Performance Platform, coordinate the configuration of our solution to meet the requirements within those opportunities and ultimately enable the broader Solution Engineering team to gather requirements related to our solutions and present and position the value.

You will help build and scale a diverse team of talented early-career Solution Consultants looking to progress their careers within the Solution Engineering function at Prophix. In addition, you will identify, organize and coordinate programs for the Solution Engineering department and provide strategic guidance to your team members.

This is a demanding role that requires strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and improve the pre-sales global infrastructure to ensure all prospect-facing field resources have consistent access to the latest & greatest offerings and assets that can be leveraged in prospect/customer facing situations
  • Lead a team of Solutions Consultants, ensuring optimal performance by providing feedback, coaching, and guidance with their personal career plan.
  • Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects within the Solution Engineering department - including identifying, rolling out and enabling team members on new solutions / applications and how they are applied to various use cases
  • Maintain close working relationships with leadership in Cloud Operations, Product Management, Sales & Marketing to support and coordinate new applications and/or existing application releases
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices including new technologies at Prophix. Provide strategic feedback to stakeholders and extended team on technology & competitive trends.
  • Support ongoing team growth and development, including participating in recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring new team members
  • Mentor new hires on their journey to becoming prospect facing Solution Engineers - including enabling and certifying team members on various solution offerings with a focus on the business benefits our solutions provide
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need a combination of experience, technology skills, personal qualities, and education.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Business, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Presales, Consulting and/or similar technical role within SaaS organizations, with management experience being an asset
  • Demonstrated experience designing re-usable processes & solutions (e.g., Excel models, automation scripts, ETL processes, business workflows, etc.)
  • Academic or practical knowledge of Accounting and/or Financial concepts (e.g., planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, and reporting) is preferred
  • Previous experience with BI tools, EPM / CPM solutions and/or data warehousing is an asset
  • Demonstrable results in mentoring and guiding individuals to success
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel is a plus.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport.
