Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of data engineering, analytics, or complex data platform management, healthcare preferred.
• 2+ years of direct people management experience leading technical teams.
• Strong experience building and managing large-scale data platforms and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Airflow, GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD, testing, and code review.
• Familiarity with HL7/FHIR and regulated data workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on design, build, and operation of GEMINI on-premise data platform and real-time ingestion.
• Oversee data models, mappings, and ETL/ELT pipelines for standardized analytics-ready datasets.
• Provide technical leadership for high-volume, near-real-time data pipelines using SQL, Python, R, PostgreSQL, Airflow.
• Guide PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization for large joins.
• Ensure software engineering practices (Git, CI/CD, testing, documentation, reviews) are followed.
• Lead architecture reviews and produce architecture diagrams; report updates to leadership.
• Lead strategic planning for Data Operations and Analytic Services with aligned priorities.
