About the role.

As we embark on a strategic digital transformation journey, the role of Quality Digital Systems and Analytics Manager North America will be pivotal in modernizing our quality data and analytics capabilities across McCain Foods This individual is a subject matter expert in SAP and McCain’s traceability programs. The role will be sitting in our Toronto, ON headquarters

What you’ll be doing.

  • Lead and drive technology solution design gathering, testing & deployment activities for quality processes in North America Region.
  • SAP administrator and Subject Matter Expert for Food Safety and Quality function. Facilitate SAP access requests and execution of traceability/mock recall exercises and reports. Optimize SAP-Quality module. Support transition to SAP S/4Hana.
  • Sharepoint administrator for Food Safety and Quality function.
  • Knowledgeable on North America’s end to end Food Safety & Quality processes and strong proficiency in current Quality operations systems.

Engage and work collaboratively with regional subject matter experts in their specific area of focus (manufacturing, food safety, sensory, regulatory, supplier quality, consumer affairs) to maintain and continuously improve systems. Incorporate business feedback into user friendly system capabilities / solution design and support release of new or updated platforms.

  • Responsible for digitalizing quality metrics data and reporting automation.
  • Responsible for computer system validation (CSV) ensuring digital data quality in tools & reports.
  • Compile monthly facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports. In collaboration with stakeholders (Global Quality, Continuous Improvement), support development of leading indicators.
  • Analyze data to detect trends that show a deviation from key Quality metrics and/or standards, and drive data analytics improvement culture in the organization through influencing and collaboration.
  • Recommend modification to existing standards, or suggest new standards, methods or procedures.
  • Set-up, roll-out and maintain, through the entire region, the document management system with the digital functions needed (workflow, automatic versioning, distribution, archiving), incident management and internal audit system
  • Support enhancements to the Global Complaint System and implementation of tools such as PowerBI to drive proactive data driven actions.

What you’ll need to be successful.

  • Minimally holder of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or information technology field, with a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in database management, selection and set-up of digital tools to the needs of an organization, as implementing analytical solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
  • Experience leading projects and in system implementation preferred with ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving, to identify gaps and propose solutions.

About the team.

Reporting to the Food Safety and Quality Director of Systems and Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining key data systems to ensure successful execution of our Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. This individual will work in collaboration with global counterparts to identify, trial, and deploy systems for document management, incident management, change management, and cost of non-conformance tracking. This individual is also responsible for compiling monthly key performance indicator data for the functional and regional scorecards, as well as performing a broad range of data analysis and data visibility enhancements, supported by one direct report. This role is part of the North America Food Safety and Quality functional team. The role interacts and collaborates with facility food safety and quality managers, regional managers, and departmental directors. This role is a part of the Systems and Compliance Department, and partners closely with peers in Continuous Improvement and Compliance

Compensation Package:$97,500.00-$130,000.00CAD annually + bonus eligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
