Job summary

Woodland Cree Enterprises Inc is seeking a Senior Administrator to provide leadership and strategic direction for its programs in Saskatchewan. The role oversees budgeting, program delivery, and compliance with funding agreements, reporting, and organizational policies.

The successful candidate will monitor performance, engage with funders and partners, and report to the Board of Directors while identifying funding and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Business Administration Diploma/Accounting/Finance plus 5 years experience in Training and Employment/2 years in management.
  • Strong ability in budgeting and financial management.
  • Experience with northern labour market and First Nations training programs.

Duties

  • Support and report regularly to the Board of Directors.
  • Identify funding, partnership, and growth opportunities that support Woodland Cree Ent. Inc. programs.
  • Ensure that updated balances are kept for each First Nations allocation including projected commitments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the northern labour market
  • Travel as required
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Board of Directors
Qualifications
  • Business Administration Diploma/Accounting/Finance plus 5 years experience working in the Training and Employment field/2 years experience in management position.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial, accounting/fund accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of the northern labour market
  • Strong working knowledge of first nations training programs and institutes.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to prepare and maintain budgets
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (1 to 2 years) Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Punctual and Reliable
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policy and procedures
  • Ability to speak Cree is an asset but not required
  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
  • Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
